Kenneth “Mike” M. Shepherd passed away at his home in Scotts Mills on March 2, 2012.
Mike was born January 2, 1949, to Paul & Freda Shepherd. He loved his family, his country & his freedoms with passion. He served in the US Army in Korea, was a 4th generation Logger, and an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by, spouse, Joy Peterson; sons, Kevin Shepherd, Bobby Marcum; daughter, Kari (Carl) Kintz; grandchildren, Sarah & Chase Milner, Casey & McKenzie Bodtker; brothers, John & Dick; sister, Kathy Ferrell; and many cousins, nieces & nephew.
Funeral service at 11am, March 10th, First Christian Church, Silverton, luncheon then burial at 2pm at Maplewood Pioneer Cemetery, Scotts Mills. Visitation will be 1-8pm, Friday, March 9th, at Unger Funeral Chapel, Silverton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Salem Hospital Cancer Center or the Wounded Warriors Project.
