The wildflower known as "Allie" Allison Melton was plucked from the earth on March 15, 2026. She passed in her home at the age of 39, with the comfort of her beloved dogs nearby.

Allie was an unstoppable force. She was charming, possessed a quick wit, and a thin filter. The hardships she faced throughout her life never left her thinking "why me?" but rather "why NOT me?" Her light never dulled; she was unapologetically herself. Allison was born in Silverton on a warm June morning in the mid-80s. She was the quiet baby sister, independent and observant. She could often be found coloring or cozy on the couch with her small dog, Sassy, who lovingly shared her fleas.

In March of 1996, she moved with her parents and three sisters to Laurel, Montana. She finished middle school and followed her big sister into high school. Never one to follow a path she didn't pave herself, Allie traded the traditional high school experience to fast-track her future, enrolling in and graduating from the College of Coiffure Art cosmetology school in 2004. She remained in Montana until 2005, when she returned to Oregon and met Jeremy Taylor (deceased). Allie and Jeremy quickly fell in love and welcomed their daughter, Bella Taylor, into the world in the summer of 2006. Of all the emotions Allie felt deeply, none compared to the love she had for Bella. Being her mother was the greatest joy of her life.

Allie found success in cosmetology and bartending, but she found her life's center when she became a mother. Motivated by a fierce love for Bella, she set her sights on bigger goals and achieved every last one. Around 2013, Allison began working in aviation mechanics, spending the next few years collecting countless certifications. She took her daughter's future with her into every exam and even across the world to Afghanistan in 2014, proving that she truly could do whatever she set her heart on. After years of working on aircraft, Allison's nurturing heart called her back to the service of others. In 2016, she traded the roar of helicopter engines for the opportunity to care for patients in the medical field. Allie was proud of her work and education, maintaining her place on the President's List before becoming a certified medical assistant and phlebotomist. Her endless empathy made her an incredible fit for the world of healthcare.

Allison's home was a reflection of her heart and was full of life. She had a deep adoration for her house plants and found peace while landscaping her garden beds with roses, each planted and pruned with intention. Surrounded by the comfort of her pets, her space was always open to any animal or friend in need of a soft place to land.

Our dearest Allie lived and loved without a filter. From her sharp sense of humor to her legendary generosity, she gave everything she had to the people she cared about. She was notorious for her loyalty. To be loved by her meant being protected by her, and her heart knew no bounds.

Allison's fiercest love and greatest legacy lives on in her daughter, Bella Taylor, who carries her mother's courage and independent spirit. Those left to keep her vibrant memory alive include her parents, Laura and Darren Melton; her sisters, Charity Steffen, Mallory Melton, and Tarren Webb; and nine nieces and nephews who hold a piece of her heart. She also leaves behind her beloved pets: Gertrude "Gertie," Scooter "Dr. Rat," Rick, and a small frog.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages honoring Allie's giant heart by making a donation to a local animal shelter or rescue in her name. Viewing for Allie will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 10:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00am. Graveside Service to follow.
