Audrey Diane Setness, 87, of Salem, Oregon, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024.

Born on September 3, 1936, in Port Angeles, Washington, Audrey was the only child of Orville and Virginia Pettengill. At age 12, she moved with her family to Corvallis, Oregon, and later to Lebanon, Oregon. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1954 and earned a degree in Education from the University of Oregon in 1958.

She taught elementary school for two years before marrying Duane Setness in 1959 in Lebanon. They lived in Oregon City and Medford, where Audrey devoted most of her life to raising their family. Upon retirement, she and Duane relocated to Salem, Oregon.

Audrey found great joy in the outdoors, gardening, baking, and holiday gatherings. She also had a deep love for animals and nature. In retirement, she and Duane enjoyed RV travel with an RV club and were active in the First Christian Church, particularly through her volunteer work with Meals on Wheels and Marion Polk Food Share.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Brian. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Duane; her children, Ron, and Diane; and three grandchildren.
