Beverly Jean Blank, 81, of Salem, Oregon passed away November 25, 2020 from natural causes. She was born to Chris and Edna Bartruff, July 20, 1939 in Salem and graduated from North Salem High School in 1957.

Beverly grew up in Salem with her parents, brother, and a large extended family that loved to celebrate every holiday, special occasion, and personal accomplishment. She spent her summers camping, playing baseball, and learning to fly planes. She began working at Boise Cascade in the 1970's, joined the union, and proceeded to never cross another picket line. Beverly was an independent spirit, believed in social justice and equality, and supported many causes including Meals on Wheels and various animal organizations.

Her hobbies included travel, reading, playing bingo at Macleay Country Inn, and collecting anything with frogs. She combined travel and books with her quirky spirit in 2010 when she toured Harry Potter locations in London, and again in 2013 taking a road trip to many of the Twilight Light filming locations. She served as president of the Silverton Elkettes (1989), and over the past twenty years she was beloved by her Craft Warehouse co-workers and customers and will be remembered as the kind and funny Frog Lady! These are just a few of the things that endeared so many to her.

Beverly is survived by her brother Frank Bartruff; children Shelli Blank, Shevaun Gutridge, and Mark Nelson; five grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Bryce, Christopher, and Joseph; nephews Mark and Mathew; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and daughter, Shannon Holler.

There will be a private graveside service for the immediate family at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family is planning a rousing Celebration of Life in 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Beverly's name to the Salem Humane Society and Meals on Wheels.
