Obituary

Boyd Keith Fish, 91, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home on June 19, 2022, in Silverton, Oregon.

Boyd was born on May 10, 1931 in Silverton, Oregon, to parents Jack and Kelly Fish. He graduated from University of Oregon with a science degree and after working for a mining company as a geologist, he joined the family business, Fish's Bakery in Silverton, where he worked until retirement. He was active in the Catholic Church, Silverton Rotary and was a founding member of the Silverton Elks Lodge.

Boyd is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Laura (Randy Egan), Randy (Jane), Kenneth (Kathy); his daughter-in-law Maureen; his ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Roger and Wayne.

He and Dorothy were married for 71 years, and they explored the world together, visiting over twenty countries and also touring the United States in their motor home. They split their time during retirement between Casa Grande, Arizona and Silverton, Oregon. Boyd enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, gardening, and playing bridge with friends. He kept gatherings lively with his humor and showed kindness to all.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30 am on Saturday, July 2nd at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1410 Pine Street, Silverton (immediately preceded by a rosary service at 10:00 am), committal service will follow at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Silverton, and a reception lunch will be held at approximately noon at the Silverton Elks Lodge. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Boyd's life. The family wishes to support the Silverton Elks Lodge Scholarship Program and donations can be sent to Elks Lodge #2210, 300 High Street, Silverton, Oregon 97381.
