Carolyn was born on November 16,1937 to Michael and Rita Mahony in St. Louis, OR. She passed away at home surrounded by family on March 8, 2026 at the age of 88.
Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Gary, and they moved to a small farm where they raised berries and other crops. She enjoyed getting to know and making friends with everyone who came to pick the crops.
Carolyn especially loved being a grandmother and she leaves behind many cherished memories for her grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan and never missed a ball game. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and over the years she collected many treasures.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Steve and Pat, and her beloved daughter Lisa. She will be truly missed by her survivors who include her husband of almost 70 years, her daughters Sandy and Brenda (Dan), her son Tom (Becky), 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Terry and Phil.
A private family reception will be planned for a later date.
