Cecile Ann Larson passed away on July 23, 2020 with her husband and daughter Kathleen by her side.

Cecile was born on July 31, 1938 to Cecile and Joseph Mitchell in Yuma, Arizona. She grew up in San Leandro, California and graduated from San Lorenzo High School in 1956 . When she was a junior in high school she met the love of her life, Gerald (Jerry) Larson. They became engaged on Christmas day 1955 and were married December 1, 1956.

Over the next six years, Cecile gave birth to three wonderful children, Kerri (October 1957), Eric (June 1960), and Kathleen (August 1962).

In 1971 the family moved to Oregon and settled in Beavercreek, a suburb of Oregon city. When the last of her children became a teenager, Cecile decided to go to work and became the Attendance Secretary at Oregon City High School, a Position she held until 1990, When she retired.

Before and after retirement, summers were spent traveling in their motor home around the Northwest. In 2000 and 2001, Cecile and Jerry made trips to the Midwest to visit Kansas and Oklahoma where their families had come from. The last major trip they took was to Mount Rushmore in 2010.

During their travels in Oregon, Cecile and Jerry enjoyed fishing for trout and they would have a contest to see who would catch the most fish. Jerry had to admit that Cecile would win nine times out of ten.

In 2003, Cecile and Jerry moved to Silverton, where they have lived for the last 17 years. Besides traveling and fishing, Cecile loved to cook and bake, her fried chicken and pies were outstanding as were everything else she cooked and baked. She also loved her garden where she grew roses and her favorite hydrangeas. Most of all she loved family gatherings, especially at Christmas and Birthdays.

Cecile is survived by her husband of 63 years and her three children. She will be greatly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, whom she loved each and everyone with all her heart.
