Mt. Angel
Clement Joseph Unrein, Jr., died on September 3, 2023, peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on July 11, 1941, in Salem, Oregon, to Clement Sr and Beatrice Nendel Unrein, he was the oldest of four children. He graduated from Serra Catholic High School in 1960. Clem enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Mt. Angel Fire Department. Elk hunting, woodworking, car trips, cooking and playing cards with friends.
He is survived by his wife Charlene, sons Mike (Callie), Darin (Tamela) and Joseph (Alison) and his daughter Kim (Brad), his sister Sharon (Douglas) and brother Douglas. He also has 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Karen and two of his grandchildren, Matthew and Alexander.
