Curt was born November 23rd, 1947 in Baker, OR to Eugene "Bud" and Marge Currey. The family moved from Baker to Portland, Portland to Oceanside (their favorite place), back to Portland, before finally landing (and staying) in Salem, Oregon. Curt attended Parish Middle School, and graduated from North Salem High School in 1966.
Curt briefly attended Oregon State University, where he had a lot of fun! He was drafted into the military and spent two years serving, most of that time was spent in Germany.
In 1970 he married, Christine Staight, they had two sons; Mark and Adam.
In 1985 Curt married his second wife, Sandra, they had daughter: Misty, and were married for more than thirty five years.

Curt graduated with an Associates Degree in Robotics from ITT Technical Institute.
Curt spent a lot of his time in McMinnville working and helping his aunt, uncle, and cousins. He also enjoyed the time he spent in Oceanside, at the family beach house. As a child spending time with family and family friends, The Guffey's and The Staights, and as an adult taking his family to the beach house to create memories of their own.
Fishing for Surf fish off of Short Beach was one of Curt's favorite things to do.
Curt was a den mother at his daughter Misty's school, and was also active in helping with her girl scout troop. He was on a bowling league, and a pool league (they went to championships in Vegas)! He loved to play video games, watch movies ("don't cry shop girl, don't cry"), and set off BIG fireworks! Curt loved dogs, and had many canine companions through the years. Candy, bacon, beer, and Black Velvet were just a few of his favorite consumables.
Curt was a kind man, with a big heart. He never treated anyone like a stranger, and would do anything for anyone. He also, really loved to have a good time.
