Daniel Thomas
Bradley
Aug 13, 1954 — Oct 14, 2022
Silverton
Daniel Thomas Bradley was born 8-13-1954 in Sublimity, OR to George and Loretta (Hartmann) Bradley and passed away 10-14-2022 in Silverton, OR.
Dan graduated from Regis High School in Stayton, OR class of '72. For a majority of his career Dan was Supervisor at the City of Salem Water/Wastewater Division before becoming GM for the South Fork Water Board (Oregon City, OR) and then moving onto GM for the Oak Lodge Water District (Milwaukee, OR) where he retired from.
For many years Dan was a member of the Pacific NW Section (PNWS) an organization made up of approximately 2,500 water professionals in Oregon, Washington, and Western Idaho. He was active on various committees. He brought his joy of living and enthusiasm to the organization. He encouraged others to become involved and mentored young professionals.
Probably his favorite committee was the Oregon Water Utility Council in which he worked with legislators to mold the water industry. Not only was he a member but he served as a Trustee on the Board of Directors, Chair and Past Chair. As Chair, he made sure the meetings
were orderly and productive. His standards for those meetings continued on long after he left the Board of Directors. He worked with the national organization of PNWS and the American Water Works Association (AWWA). As a member of AWWA he worked with the technical committee developing standards for the water industry.
Dan made friends everywhere he went and lived life to the fullest. He loved college football and to say he was an Oregon Ducks Football fan would be understatement. He liked all sports though, especially golfing and cheering for the Yankees.
On August 23rd, 1997 Dan married the love his life Rosemary (Rosy). They went on have many adventures travelling to almost every major city in the US for conferences, vacationing in Mexico or taking the backroads on a sunny weekend afternoon to find the next best lunch spot. Dan and Rosy had the happiest of marriages living in their dream home they built together in 2005 on the Abiqua River.
Dan is survived by his wife Rosy, Sister Debbie Mooney (Jim), children Hannah Palmer (Eric), Jordan Bradley (Connie), Abigail Bradley (Alex), Kevin Jentzsch, Kyle Jentzsch (Melanie) and 8 beautiful grandchildren. He was also preceded by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday Oct 23rd, from 4-8pm at Blondzees Guest House Restaurant located at 4850 Portland Rd NE Salem, OR. Additionally, please help us say thank you to Forest Park Hospice for being such a light during this time. The family ask that in lieu of flowers or gifts to please send a donation of any amount to Forest Park Hospice @ 9450 SW Commerce Circle Wilsonville, OR 97070 (971)415-0100.
