Daniel Wayne Kelsey was born October 21, 1947 , in Faribault , Minnesota . He graduated from Holgate, after graduation Dan was already willing and able to explore the world, it was then that he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Dan was discharged from the Air Force in January 1971, in Florida . He was then transferred to Denver , Colorado . Dan was married in the Denver area and had two children, Daniel Wayne Kelsey Jr., and Lisa Kelsey, who still reside in the Denver area. After a divorce in Denver , Dan decided to move back to the Pacific Northwest , which he loved so dearly. It was in Oregon that Dan met his current wife and love of his life, Marilee Kelsey of Salem , Oregon . Dan is survived by his wife, Marilee Kelsey, his mother, Dorothy "Doty" of Mt. Angel, Oregon, three sisters, Penny Simmonds, Linda Spruell, and Shelly Heckman all from Oregon; two step-daughters, Tanya Green of Amboy, Washington and Tina Newsome from Portland, Oregon; four step-grandchildren, Andrea Green of Battleground, Washington, Tara Perkins from the Portland, Oregon area, Brandon Green from the Battleground area, and Christopher from the Battleground area. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Ray Kelsey who passed away April 2005, Cheryl Rockley who passed June 26, 1998 and Patricia Jones of Eagle Idaho . Dan will be placed to rest in Mt. Angel , Oregon .
