Daniel James Ulven, 53, passed away unexpectedly on May 21st, 2026. He was born May 9th, 1973, in Silverton, OR, to Diane & Andy Ulven. He was one of three brothers. Growing up in Silverton, Dan spent much of his youth outdoors with family and friends, especially at the motocross track, where countless weekends were spent racing and building lifelong friendships.

Dan went into the family business, The Ulven Companies, at the age of 16 and worked in a variety of roles over the years, learning every aspect of the company from the ground up. He became sole owner in 2022 and took great pride not only in the business itself, but in the people who made it what it was. He deeply valued the relationships he built with employees, customers, and industry partners, and considered many of them close friends.

He is survived by his wife, Adrian, four children, Madison (Darren), Drake (Kyleigh), Talon, and Keegan, 5 grandchildren, father Andy, and brother Mike (Whitney). He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane, and brother Darrin. Whether through a quick phone call, an unexpectedvisit, or simply remembering the small details of someone's life, Dan had a way of making people feel genuinely cared for. Dan found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He had an uncommon ability to connect deeply with others and stay in touch with a broad network. Though his life was far too short at 53 years, he filled those years with purpose, adventure, laughter, and meaningful relationships, always making time for others. No matter how full life became, he always found time for a phone call, a visit, or a conversation. Dan loved cooking, traveling, attending his kids' sporting events, four-wheeler rides with his grandkids, and capturing every moment on camera, preserving memories that his family will treasure for years to come. In recent months, he especially enjoyed the simple peace of watching the hummingbirds on the back porch with Adrian.

He leaves behind a legacy of loving his family fiercely, making the most of each day, creating time for fun and adventure, serving others generously, and faithfully walking with the Lord.

A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 1st, 2026, at the Peoples Church in Salem, OR
