Dave died peacefully at home surrounded by love, at the age of 73, in Silverton, Oregon. He left a legacy of kindness, humor and generosity.

He was born to Avis and Donald Derosier in Chisholm, Minnesota. He was one of six children. Dave had a lifelong love of sports which included tennis, swimming, biking, pickleball and fishing.

After years in police work, he followed his father’s path of becoming a barber and owning his own shop. After meeting his wife Lyn and having their daughter Kelsey, they made the move to Silverton in 2008. In semi-retirement after working at Walmart for 10 plus years, he got more time to enjoy sports and deepen friendships.

He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, but he still managed trips to Florida, Colorado and to the Oregon Coast.

Dave is survived by his loving wife Lyn of 39 years, daughter Kelsey, stepchildren Heather and Michael. Brothers; Gary (Judy), Wayne (Debbie), Bruce (Paula), and Gene (Jill). Sister, Vicky (Lyle) Thompson, grandchildren and extended family and a world of dear friends.

Services for Dave will be held on October 13th at St. Paul Catholic Church in Silverton, Oregon. Rosary will begin at 10:30 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. A reception to follow Mass, where all who loved and knew him are encouraged to share stories. Burial at Miller Cemetery will be at a later date.
