Delores Mable Hittner, "Johnson", born in Portland, Oregon to Shirley and Dewey Johnson on February 19, 1945. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20th at age 76, with her family by her side.  She was just recently preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Marten Johnson age 77, on February 9th.

Mom moved to Salem after the death of both of her parents at about age 12. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. Delores worked at Salem Hospital briefly until she met her husband Michael Justin Hittner in 1964 and married 2 years later on October 8th of 1966 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. Mike and Delores were married for 55 years and had four children.

Mom was a wonderful wife and mother. Surviving are Laurie Donahue, Michael Hittner, Eileen Bean, and Jeffrey Hittner, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mom had a big heart for kids and was a very loving and kind person.  She was always concerned with caring for her grandchildren. Mom was a great homemaker and made sure we always had what we needed.  Mom loved music and dancing so much and instilled this in her children. She had a great love for angels, hearts, roses, the colors pink and red, Valentine's Day, Chocolate, and country drives. God Bless you mama forever!  So glad you are in peace. You are so loved,

Services will be on Friday, March 26, 2021. Recitation of Rosary will be at 10:30 followed by a Memorial Mass at 11AM
