Dorothy Lillie Myhrum died peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2025, from the effects of age and dementia. She was 99.
She was born April 21, 1925, in Silverton Oregon to William August Bloch and Lillie Amelia Bloch (Sjol)
After graduating from Silverton High School in 1943, she attended Grand Forks Deaconess Hospital of Nursing Grand Forks North Dakota, completing her training in 1946 as a registered nurse. She was a nurse throughout her life until retirement, working at Silverton Hospital, as well as several doctors' private practices in Silverton and Salem.
On March 3, 1947, Dorothy married Raymond Myhrum at Trinity Lutheran Church in Silverton. Besides husband Ray, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Duane Bloch, and several extended family.
She is survived by sons Dave(Tamar) of Monmouth, Ron (Susie), Chattaroy, Washington and Dennis (Connie) of Cove; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Don't cry because it's over.
Smile because it happened.
Private family graveside service was followed by immediate burial at Valley View Cemetery in Silverton.
