Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Elaine Rose (Douthit) Anderson, went home to be with Jesus on July 18th, 2023.

Elaine, fifth of six children, was born to Laurence and Lois Douthit on February 15th, 1954 in Silverton, Oregon. The daughter of dairy farmers, Elaine spent her childhood working and playing on the family farm. She graduated from Silverton High School in 1972. In 1973 Elaine married Dennis Edmonds. They were married for six years and had two children together. In 1986 she married Robert Anderson Sr. and gained her youngest son. Elaine and Robert were married for 35 years. Elaine spent the majority of her career working as a caregiver, sharing her heart with all she served. She was deeply devoted to her three children, as well as "Mom" and "Auntie" to many more.

Beyond her immediate family, Elaine extended her love and care to everyone she encountered. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor made her a pillar of support for friends and neighbors alike. Whether it was lending a listening ear, offering a helping hand, or providing a shoulder to lean on, she never hesitated to be there for those in need. Her genuine concern for others and her ability to make them feel valued left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of crossing her path.

Elaine is survived by her sisters Betty (Duane) Mills and Carol (David) Boos, brother Fred (Carol) Douthit, and Sister-in-law Karin Douthit; her children Jonathan (Katie) Edmonds of Silverton, Oregon, Jennifer (Emile) Draper of Molalla, Oregon, and Rob (Laura) Anderson of Anchor Point, Alaska; as well as eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents Laurence and Lois, and brothers Arnold and Dennis.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, July 26th at 11:00 am at Vanderbeck Valley Farm, 37791 S Hwy 213 Mt. Angel, Oregon 97362
