Emil was born on October 28, 1930 in Portland, Oregon. His fathers name was Alfred Trachsel. Emil was a US veteran and worked as an engineer for a food storage company.
Emil is survived by his wife, Mary Trachsel, step-daughters, Pam Cerruti and Sandy Gillis, step-sons, Dave and Mike Angelo, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and his brother Walt Trachsel.
