Esperanza Barboza, 99, passed away peacefully,  June 8, 2021, at her home in Salem.

She was born to Julian Juarez and Lazara Contreras on February 14, 1922 in Nieves, Zacatecas, Mexico.

She enjoyed cross stitch, tending to her flower garden and spending time with her grand kids.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her first husband Jose Vaquera as well as her 2nd husband Rosendo Barboza, children Martha Ramirez and Ismael Vaquera, and grandson Martin Ramirez.

Esperanza is survived by her children Juventino Vaquera of Mt. Angel, Ruben Barboza of Salem, Cristina Barboza of Keizer and Rosendo Barboza of Mt. Angel, 28 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren and 27 great great grandchildren.

Time will be available for a viewing on Friday June 11, 2021 at Unger Funeral Chapel in Mt. Angel from 11:00am - 1:40pm. Her funeral will be held at the same location from 2:00-4:00.

She was well loved by her family. She will be greatly missed.
