Evelyn Marie Hynes, 92, went to be with Jesus on May 28,2026, after complications from a motor vehicle accident. Though she will be deeply missed by her beloved family and friends, we know that she is celebrating in Heaven. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, love, gentle wisdom and her love of doing puzzles and watching sports, well except baseball. Evelyn Marie (Buchheit) Hynes was born December 15, 1933, to Ed and Mary Buchheit of Silverton, Oregon, the 11th of 13 children. Evelyn was born and raised on the family farm in Silverton which molded her love of family and home. She married Tom Hynes on October 15, 1955 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Silverton. They lived on their family farm and were blessed with six children.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Ed & Mary Buchheit, her husband of 56 years Tom, son Kris and 11 siblings. She is survived by her children and their spouses/partners, Kelly Hynes (Tammy), Konnie Bay, Kent Hynes, Kerrie Hynes (Tom Wolff) and Kim Hynes. Grandchildren and their spouses Rory Hynes, McKenna Hynes (Matteo), Joseph Hynes (Ashley), Jason Hynes, Taylor Bay (Candice), Madison Rodelo (Abel) , Thomas Bay (Claire) and Seth Krier(Chrissy) and eight great grandchildren, daughter- in- law Lisa Hynes, brother Bob Buchheit and multiple nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at St Paul Catholic Church in Silverton on Thursday, June 4th at 10:30 am, Rosary at 10:00 am. Private interment at St Paul Catholic Cemetery, Silverton. In lieu of flowers donations in her honor can be made in Evelyn's name to the St Paul Catholic Church or Silverton area community aid, or your Catholic Church.

She will be missed so very much.
