It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gene Bielemeier, who departed this world on September 8, 2026, at 67. Born on April 2,1959, in Salem, OR, Gene graced this world with his presence and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

Gene was the youngest son of Jim (Deceased) and Joan Bielemeier (Berning) of Sublimity, OR, and the brother of Sue and Gary (Suse) Bielemeier.

On October 27, 1984, Gene married Susan Bielemeier (Schmidt). For over 41 years, together they navigated the joys and challenges of life, raising two wonderful sons, Douglas and Nicholas (Kate).

Beyond being a mechanic for over 40 years, he loved sports, and was always involved with his two sons’ activities, often attending their different sporting events and coaching the different teams.

In his leisure time, Gene found happiness in fishing, hunting, the coast, watching sports, making sausage, working on cars, going for drives, and spending time with family and friends.

Gene is survived by his wife Susan, his sons Douglas and Nicholas (Kate), his mother Joan, his sister Sue, and brother Gary (Suse) in addition to an extended family of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A Funeral Mass to honor and celebrate Gene's life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, located at 575 East College St., Mt. Angel, OR 97362. A Rosary will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 7 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
