Harold Edmond Roth age 100 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 30, 2025, in Salem Oregon. Harold is survived by his loving wife Jean, of 78 years; 5 children, Judy (Paul) Tower, Linda (Tim) Collins, Rick (Annette) Roth, Randy (Debbie) Roth, Cindy (David) Zimmerman; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Harold Edmond Roth was born February 8, 1925, to Henry and Verna Roth, at the homestead farmhouse in Central Howell. Harold was the oldest of 8 children, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by 1 brother Cecil and 4 sisters, Joanne, Doris, Diana and Darlene.
Harold grew up working on the family farm later receiving a military exemption as a farmworker. Harold met his wife Jean in 1945, and they married in 1946, celebrating 78 years of love and devotion and raising 5 children.
In 1951, after farming for 5 years, Harold moved his family to Omaha Nebraska to attend Grace Bible Institute graduating in 1956. While at Grace he pastored a church in Henderson Iowa for 4 years. They returned to Idanha Oregon in 1958 to pastor Idanha Community Church for 12 years. While in ministry, Harold also worked a full-time job, mostly driving log truck and working as a millwright in the local mills until retiring in 1987.
During his retirement he pastored Detroit Community Church until 1994 moving to Salem in 1997.
Harold enjoyed doing many things outdoors. During his life he owned motorcycles, boats and snow mobiles. He also owned and flew his own airplane. Harold was known for fixing anything, for anyone, and loved spending time with family.
Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel Bible Church, Salem OR on Friday April 11, 2025, at 1:30
