Harriette Ramona Resseger of Silverton, Oregon, passed away November 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.

Ramona, as she was most affectionately known by friends and family, was born June 7, 1937, in Encino, New Mexico to Harry and Julia Coon. The family moved to the Bay Area in California where Ramona continued to live most of her youth and adult life. She graduated from Golden Gate Academy in Oakland, CA in 1956. She married Robert Resseger on January 24, 1960, at the Grand Avenue Seventh day Adventist Church and raised their three sons, Jim, Craig, and Robbie, in Concord, CA. In 1989, they moved to Groveland, CA to start their retirement. In 1992, they moved to Silverton, OR to be closer to Ramona's sisters.

Ramona was able to be a stay-at-home mom until her sons were in high school. Then she went on to be an adjuster for Foremost Insurance in Walnut Creek, CA. When Foremost moved their headquarters, Ramona became a teacher aide for Discovery Land Preschool in Pleasant Hill, CA until she retired.

When she moved to Silverton, OR, Ramona enjoyed doing volunteer work with the Silverton Seventh Day Adventist Church in the Community Service department where she was the assistant director as well as at the local food bank in Silverton. In 2012 she was awarded the Silverton Chamber of Commerce SACA Volunteer of the Year for her work at the food bank.

Ramona was a proud member of the Silverton Seventh Day Adventist Church and loved her fellow volunteers at Community Services. She enjoyed her bell collection, consisting of over 400 bells and being an avid traveler all over the globe, visiting all but one of the seven continents.

Above all, Ramona loved her family and grandchildren. And they loved her right back.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Robert Resseger and her sons, Craig and Robbie.

Ramona is survived by her sisters, Joy Sheryer, Nancy Edger, her brother Hugh Coon, Sister in Law Di Coon, all who reside in Oregon; her son James Resseger, daughter in law Janell Resseger, resides in California; her grandchildren Shelbi Spence and husband Eric residing in Oregon; Sabrina Resseger residing in Arizona; Robert Resseger residing in California; Gregory Payne and wife Jackie residing in Georgia; and two great grandchildren, Lucas and Olivia.

Ramona will be remembered for her sweet, selfless, gentle nature, her willingness to help where needed, her sharp sense of humor, and dependability. She loved a scoop of ice cream and a piece of chocolate. Ramona was goodness personified and we will try to live by her example in honor of her.

A celebration of life will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Silverton Seventh Day Adventist Community Services. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel.
