On May 2, 1933 Wayne was born to Emory and Minnie (Jaquet) Goode at their home in Salem, OR. With family around him, Wayne went to be with Jesus on May 5, 2025, at the home he built on the family farm in the Silverton Hills.

Wayne attended Middle Grove Grade School and Salem Academy High School. He married Bonnie Stoller on June 6, 1952.

Among the many things Wayne did, he was mainly a farmer, raising grass seeds and berries. He also was in the National Guard. He was an active lifelong member of the Salem First Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his children Judy (Norm) DeShon, Ken (Kandie) Goode, Chuck (Sheila) Goode, and Laurie Goode Hyndman, 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson and 1 great grandson.

Saturday, May 17, 2025, a short graveside service is planned at 11:00 am at Union Hill Cemetery

Union Hill Rd SE, Sublimity, OR. A gathering for family and friends will follow at Union Hill Grange - 15775 Grange Rd SE, Sublimity, OR, from Noon - 3:00 pm. You are welcome to attend one or both of these times remembering Wayne.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salem First Free Methodist Church designated for missions.
