Jim died peacefully at home in Silverton on December 12, 2024. He was born in Vancouver, Washington and lived in Beavercreek, Sandy and Encinitas CA before settling in Silverton for the last twenty years.

Jim was a master carpenter and craftsman whose skill and attention to detail were second to none. He was always willing to help someone with a project, and was known for his skill with woodworking. He was also a great cook, with a gift for grilling and smoking meats, and hosted many holiday barbecues for his family. He enjoyed passing these skills on to his sons. He was devoted to his yellow lab Sam, who was his constant companion for 14 years.

Jim is survived by his two sons, Josh (Tami) and Daniel (Andrea), his granddaughter Hannah and two sisters, Rita Meyers and Linda Walden. He will be missed and his memory cherished.
