The Silverton Senior Center will never be the same without "Chief" Jerry. The Center was truly his home away from home. Jerry was born into the Kainai Nation, or Blood Tribe, a division of the Blackfoot Confederacy in Alberta, Canada. He was very proud of his heritage and spoke often of his tribe. Jerry served in the US Navy and later drove truck, among other jobs. He loved to ride his Harley "Hog," often flashing a picture he carried with him. Jerry enjoyed volunteering at the Silverton Senior Center and at the Community Dinner on Wednesday nights. His sometimes grumpy demeanor hid a big heart and soft side always willing to help whenever possible. He is survived by two daughters, Bethany and Ariana and granddaughter Lauren
