Joseph Michael Trecker, who many fondly knew as "Wild Joe from Idaho", passed away on December 26, 2023 at the age of 64 in Salem, Oregon. Joe was born in Wallace, Idaho and grew up on a farm with his large family, where he became an avid outdoorsman and wonderful artist. As an adult, he translated his talent for art into a thriving masonry business in Oregon and became well-known in his community for his meticulous work, kindness, fairness, and quick wit.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, two daughters, Sherrie Trecker and Emily Bilbrey, son-in-law David Bilbrey, and granddaughter Poppy Bilbrey. He also leaves behind his ten brothers and sisters: Diane Trecker, Tony Trecker, Cindy Withers, Robert Trecker, Yvonne Mathis, Donna Snyder, Karen Hassell, Teresa Trecker, Thomas Trecker, Lisa Trecker, along with dozens of additional brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Despite having such a large family, Joe had an uncanny ability to make every one of them feel special and loved.

Joe joins his mother and father, Gladys and Robert, in Heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Joe on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Vanderbeck Valley Farms in Mount Angel, Oregon. All are welcome to attend. Feel free to wear your favorite colors; black attire is not necessary.
