Joe Henry Kindred, 74, passed away on July 17th, 2020 in Silverton, Oregon.
He was born July 2nd, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona to Fred Henry Kindred Sr and Creola Sims. Joe had a large family of 12 brothers and sisters; Dorothy Thornton, Fred H Kindred, Raymond Kindred Sr, Robert Kindred, Cresana Lambert, Shiela Johnson, Howard Kindred, John Kindred Sr, Paula Kindred-Shepard, Larry Kindred and Lavern  Kindred-Doran, Joe left home when was 17 and traveled north. Eventually settling down in Portland. Joe Married Annabelle Williams together they had Joannah Kindred(deceased 1-21-17), Joe H Kindred Jr, Venus kindred(deceased 1976), Toscha Kindred Mitchell, Donnie Kindred and step-daughter, Christina Bailey. Joe and Annabelle divorced early 80's. Joe met and fell in love with Evelyn Minor and together they had Leslie Kindred, Josh Kindred and step-sons, Bobby Cason and Uland Cason.
Joe was well known in the community. Especially for his knowledge, love for music as well as how loud he'd play his music. Everyone knew when Joe was coming because they could gear his music. Kids would run up to his vehicle and talk to him about his music. He had one of the greatest sense of humors. He could make you laugh without trying to. Joe loved to cook and then would brag about his skills in the kitchen lol. He lived a full life. Owned his own TV repair shop and when it burned down; he had his family move everything to the garage and he worked from home. There was never a day he didn't work. Whatever it was, he could do it, whatever needed to be fixed, he would fix it, he could do everything. One of the things he loved most was talking to people. He had a lesson for everything. He was always educating and teaching people about life. Some of his greatest joys were his grandchildren, his face would light up every time he saw them. He bragged about his children and he bragged even more about his grand-children. He loved his family and family was everything to him. Joe was so happy to see his eldest son, JJ on his birthday this year. All he wanted was for his family to be close. He spent the last few years of his life trying to get everyone close and he loved when he saw his family united an working together.
Joe is survived by his children: Joe H Kindred Jr, Toscha Kindred Mitchell, Donnie Kindred, Leslie Kindred, Josh Kindred, Christina Bailey, Bobby Cason, Uland Cason; siblings: John Kindred Sr, Paula Kindred Shepard, Larry Kindred, Lavern Kindred Doran, his uncle, Howard Sims, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Creola Sims, father, Fred Henry Kindred, brothers: Fred Kindred, Howard Kindred, Robert Kindred and Raymond Kindred, sisters: Dorothy Thornton, Cresana Lambert and Shiela Johnson; former wife, Annabelle Williams, daughters: Venus Kindred and Joannah Kindred.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Green Bandit you will live on through us forever. We love and miss you.

Paula Kindred Shepard - "My brother Joe Henry, my third older brother. I didn't see much of Joe growing up,  but I do remember his eating at the dinner table. Joe would mix all his food together. I was a little girl. I asked him one day, "why you do that?" His response, "It's all going to end up a mess in my stomach anyways,  I'm giving it a head start." Growing up, we called Joe, Sammy Davis Jr., because he looked just like him. Short, with a flat nose. When I moved to Portland, Oregon in 1999, I  really got to know  my brother. Joe Henry was a giver with a good heart. He loved my Seven-up Pound Cake, and I loved baking them for him. My brother Joe Henry, had a huge heart, and when I lived in Portland, I could always depend on Joe, if I needed anything. Big Brother Joe Henry, you will  forever be missed. I love you and will see you again."
