Karen Palmquist
Karen passed away at home on April 28, 2022 with her family by her side. Karen was born on March 19, 1942 and was the second child of six children born to Arnold and Clara Clapp of Oregon City. She grew up in Oregon City and graduated from Oregon City High School. She went on to work for the State police and finished her career banking. On April 8, 1961 she married Richard Palmquist of Silverton Oregon and they had two children, Donna and Jeff. Karren liked camping, sewing, crafting, interior decorating, and most of all spending time with her family. Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, her parents, and three brothers, Arnold Clapp, Jr, Robert Clapp, and George Clapp. She is survived by her two children, Donna (Darren) Kluth of Molalla, Jeff (Pattie) Palmquist of Oregon City, five grandchildren, Melissa (Korey) Brown of Okmulgee, OK, Jeremy Kluth of Silverton, Amanda (Hector) Herrera of Molalla, Zach Palmquist of Oregon City, and Bryce Palmquist of Oregon City. She also had four great grandchildren, Austin Brown, Maddison Brown, Brandon Herrera, Sofia Herrera, along with two sisters, Shirly Sipe of Gresham and Cindy (Bruce) Pease of Silverton.
