Born May 24, 1953 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 2, 2018.
Kathy was born to Arlin and Evelyn (Purdy) Staab in Salem, Oregon. She was the eldest of 6 children, Karen Staab, David Staab, Kristine Buchheit of Mt. Angel Oregon, as well as Douglas Staab and Konnie Miller, both of Silverton, Oregon. Kathy was the beloved aunt of 14 and great aunt of 19. She was preceded in death by her father, Arlin Staab and nephew Michael Staab.
Kathy was a resident of Fairview Training Center, and then resided in Salem, Oregon assisted by Partnership Community Living (PCL), and worked at the Mt. Angel Training Center and MENTOR.
Kathy will be remembered by her quick-wit and humor; she loved music, the beach, stuffed animals, pink and sparkly and anything princess. Kathy was our "Princess". She will be missed by her family, staff, and anyone fortunate to have been part of her life. We would like to thank the caregivers who cared for her, especially the PCL staff.
Services will be Thursday July 5, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Angel, Oregon. Rosary at 10:30 with funeral service following at 11:00. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel in Mt. Angel.
