Linda Kay Armstrong, 78yrs old, lived with her husband Bob in Salem Oregon. She passed away on the morning of Wednesday October 8th 2025.
She was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma in April 2023. This Cancer is considered Terminal, so the Chemotherapy treatments and radiation were considered 'life prolonging.
Linda was born March 31st 1947 in Goodrich Michigan. Her parents' names were Leland Duane Wilson and Velma Ruth Lalone. Linda was Married to Clifford Semmal and is the father to her son Gary Semmal. They eventually moved to Phoenix Arizona.
The marriage failed and after some time she married Eldon Kennel. Thy moved to Salem Oregon.
Linda graduated high school in 1966 and eventually trained as a 10 key punch operator. This was a high noise environment, and she lost most of her hearing. She spent a couple of years in a community college and eventually transferred to Arizona State University. She held several positions in Oregon State government to include Department of Justice Fraud Division. She was working for the Department of Corrections, Prisoner phone section in 2008 when severe back problems Would not allow her to sit for long periods of time.
Linda and her Husband were parishioners at St Edwards Catholic Church in Keizer Oregon and was a member of the funeral luncheon committee.
Lindas' hobbies were Arts and Crafts to include Knitting.
A private service will be held at a later date.
