On March 18, 2026, Heaven gained an angel of all angels, Margaret Maitland Richards. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Buster Richards; father and mother Albert and Clarice Mitchell; siblings Jennie Mae Meade, Marcia Eckert, and Becky Dickey.

Margaret is survived by sister Allison Mitchell; three children Duane Richards (Carolyn), Jolene Smoot (Kerry), Rhonda Medalia (Don Kinney); eight grandchildren; Michael, Marco, Mathew, Stefanie, Brandy, Kayla, Geordan, and Katie; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Margaret was loved by so many, who also called her mom, and thus became a part of the family.
