With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marley Edward Elling on November 18, 2025, due to medical complications. Marley was born on August 25, 1937, and spent more than 70 years calling Silverton, Oregon home. His roots ran deep, and his presence touched family, friends, and neighbors across generations.

Marley served honorably in the National Guard, demonstrating dedication, discipline, and pride in his country. That same strength of character carried into every chapter of his life through fatherhood, friendships, and the quiet yet meaningful way he supported and cared for the people around him.

Marley was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who led with quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to the people he loved. His family was the center of his world, and the memories, guidance, and values he leaves behind will continue to shape every life he touched.

He is survived by his two children, Tony Edward Elling of Yuba City, California, and Traci Lynn Cooper of Chico, California.

Marley was also blessed with grandchildren who adored him: Justin Lohmeier, Jared Lohmeier, Jami Lohmeier, Morgan Fernandez, Shelby Elling, and Stephanie Henson, and six great-grandchildren, who brought him endless smiles and joy.

He will forever be remembered for the love he gave, the stories he shared, and the quiet wisdom he passed on without ever asking for anything in return.

Services will be held on 12/06/2025 at 11am at Unger's Funeral Home in Silverton Oregon.  Immediately after, dad will be laid to rest at Valleyview Cemetery.  We will have a celebration of life at 18153 Powers Creek Loop Rd NE Silverton, Oregon 97381.

Marley's legacy lives on in every laugh shared, every memory treasured, and every life he helped shape.

We will be deeply missed and forever loved.
