Mary Ellen Carson was born on February 16, 1938, in Oregon City, Oregon to Bernice (Curran) and Philip Stafford Sr. Mary Ellen died in Portland, Oregon on February 19, 2020, following a lengthy illness. Mary Ellen lived in Molalla from 1938 to 1958 and then relocated to Portland where she attended Marylhurst College, and Portland State University. Mary Ellen and her husband Ronald had one son, Michael, who died in 1996. Survivors include her husband, Ronald, one grandson Brenden Gomez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Private interment will take place at Calvary cemetery in Mt. Angel. Assisting the family is Unger Funeral Chapel – Mt. Angel.
