Mary Louise Shimp Dunbar died on December 14, 2021, age 74 years old, in her home and surrounded by family, near Silverton, Oregon.

Mary's passions include a 30 plus year career as a nurse, gardening, thrift store shopping in our area, she fished, clammed, rock & seashell collector. Also, a founding member of the Oregon Gardens. She was an active member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Those who knew her admired her boundless love and her Christ- like way of life.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Shimp, her brother Bob Shimp.

She is Survived by her husband of 45 years Paul Dunbar, her children Paul Steven Dunbar, James Patrick (Bobbi) Dunbar, Flint (Mary) Stearns, Shannon Henderson, and Elizabeth (Lee) Primrose. Her siblings include Tom Shimp, Jeanette Shimp, Lena Shimp Meyers, Nick Shimp, Jim Shimp, Nancy Shimp Stryker, and Sue Shimp Gerhards as well as 18 grandchildren, and 9 grandchildren.

Recitation of the rosery will be Friday, December 17, 2021 at 12PM followed by Mass of the Christian burial at 12:30 PM, St. Paul Catholic Church.
