Michael "Mike" Kilmurray was born in Batavia, New York, and grew up in Novato, California. In 1979, he and his wife, Pamela Kilmurray, moved to Oregon with their two children, eventually settling in Woodburn, where they built a home and deep roots for 40 years. In 2019, they moved to Silverton, Oregon to enjoy a slower pace of life and nature.

Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1974 and took immense pride in being a veteran. He spent 25 years working in the manufacturing industry and was known for his diligence and strong work ethic. Mike enjoyed woodworking and working on computers. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying countless camping trips in the mountains and forests. Some of his fondest memories were spent fishing and hunting with friends and family. Mike and Pam also cherished their vacations in Maui, their happy place, where they created many unforgettable memories together. Most of all, Mike loved his family.

A devoted animal lover, Mike, shared a special bond with his yellow labs. After losing his beloved companion, Buddy, he opened his heart and home to senior labs from the Humane Society, ensuring they spent their final years surrounded by love and comfort.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Pamela (Colyer) Kilmurray; daughters, Jennifer Helms (Preston) and Jessica Kilmurray; grandson, Chris Kilmurray; step-grandsons, Zach Helms, and Tyler Helms (Ashlynn); and two great-grandchildren, Otto and Marlie. Mike was proceeded in his death by his parents David and Dorothy Kilmurray and his brother Richard Kilmurray (Leslie). He is also survived by his brother David Kilmurray (Nancy), Dorothy Conner (Leroy), and Virginia Kooistra (Al) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A private interment with military honors will take place at Willamette National Cemetery on Friday, April 11th. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 13th in Mt. Angel, Oregon.
