Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Mason 97, formerly of Coquille where she lived most of her life, was born December 1, 1922 in Portland , OR , the second daughter of 6 daughters to Edward and Christine (Schleiger) Hauser, passed away the early hours of February 24, 2020 in Mt. Angel , OR .

Millie graduated from Commerce Business School in Portland . She married Robert B. on October 12, 1943 , and after 62 years of marriage, Robert passed away Feb. 3, 2005 . In 2006 she moved to Lakeside in Stayton OR., later to Willamette Lutheran Home in Keizer , OR , and has lived at Providence Benedictine Orchard House for past 7 years.

Millie was an interior decorator and worked with her husband in their Home Decorating business in Coquille.  A talented Artist, Millie did oil color, watercolors, and was a thoughtful and generous lady, gave a lot of her paintings to family and friends.

Millie was a member of the First Christian Church in Coquille and active in Women's Scholarship Program, PEO , and was active in Coquille events.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Robert C. and Carola of Salem, Dave and Kathie of Federal Way, WA., Dennis and Anne of Australia, two sisters, Barbara Reeves of Coquille, Edina Washburn of Woodburn, OR.  Eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Providence Benedictine 550 S. Main Mt. Angel, Oregon.  Private Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Park , Coos Bay , Oregon
