Penny Marie Stewart, age 64, passed away on October 25, 2024, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. Born on November 19, 1959, in Silverton, Oregon, to Gilbert and Dorothy Jensen, Penny was the second youngest of seven siblings.

Penny's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a nana to Rebekah, Jennah, Emilie, Heath, Drake, Chase, Bentley, and Aspen. She cherished her role as a mother to her three children, Melanie Huebsch (Jared), Kimberly Mills (Dwayne), and Jeremy Young (Ashley). She married the love of her life, Kelly Stewart, on August 16, 2014, creating a partnership filled with love and adventure.

Known for her strong work ethic, Penny was a dedicated worker who took pride in everything she did. She also loved the outdoors, finding joy in camping, riding quads, and going on scenic drives. On most sunny days you could drive by their house and see them sitting in their rocking chairs on the porch.  Traveling, especially to Maui, Hawaii, brought her great happiness, and her green thumb shone through in her beautiful garden filled with dahlias and hibiscus.

Penny fondly remembered her early years attending Silverton schools, where she enjoyed her time in Brownies and made lifelong friends she still spoke to today. She cherished the memories created during girls' trips with her co-workers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Dorothy Jensen, her brother Gary, and her sister Helen. Penny is survived by her loving husband, Kelly; her children, Melanie, Kimberly, and Jeremy; her grandchildren; and her brothers Gaile, Gordy, Mark, and David; and many cousins.

A celebration of Penny's life will be held on her birthday, November 19, 2024, at 1 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, 500 N. 2nd St., Silverton, followed by a reception at her brother David's home.

Penny's warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
