Phyllis Marie Hall, Age 81 of Silverton Oregon passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 7, 2020 in Silverton due to brain cancer.

Born Phyllis Marie Walters on December 28, 1938 to Michael and Virginia (Wood) Walters in Portland Oregon.  On December 16, 1962 Phyllis married Lawrence (Larry) John Hall and they remained married 57 years until her passing.  Phyllis and Larry moved from Portland to Silverton in 1967 where they made their home for next 52 and a half years.  In 1973 Phyllis committed her life to Jesus Christ in the Silverton Friends Church.

Phyllis was active in her churches over the years, first at Silverton Friends Church, Labish Center Evangelical Church, and for the last 10 years at Salem Evangelical Church.  Through the years she enjoyed many pursuits from backpacking and mountain climbing in her early adulthood, camping with her family as she raised them, hosting many holiday gatherings for the larger family, to keeping the yard and flowers at home at a quality that many described as something straight from the pages of a gardening magazine.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Lawrence J Hall, Sons David (and Kimberly) Hall of Valencia CA, Loren (and Michele) Hall of Silverton OR, and Timothy (and Jenny Ruth) Hall of Portland OR.  Also surviving are her brother Michael (and Sunny) Walters of Oregon City OR and Sister Esther Walters of Portland OR. Phyllis has nine grandchildren, Josiah, Caleb, Jonathon, Micah, Anna and Seth in Oregon and Jessie, Erica and Danae in California.

Services to be held at Silver Creek Fellowship in Silverton Oregon on Sunday January 12, 2020 at 3:30 pm.  A private burial will be held at Silverton Cemetery.
