Ralph W. Kuenzi, a longtime resident of Salem, Oregon and a well-known member of thePacific Northwest agricultural industry, fell asleep in death surrounded by family members on June 28 th , 2026. He was 92 years of age. He was born on December 13 th , 1933 to Harvey and Emma Kuenzi of Silverton, Oregon. Ralph was the 6 th of 10 children raised on the Kuenzi farm. As a younger man, Ralph worked as a sales and delivery driver for Mt. Angel Creamery and Deluxe Ice Cream. Later, Ralph owned and operated a grass seed farm on State St. east of Salem. Ralph then owned and operated an ice cream store in La Grande, Oregon before moving back into the agricultural industry as a successful salesman for Lenon/Fisher implement in Woodburn, Oregon, and then as a west coast salesman/representative for the Pixall harvester corporation.

In his retired years, Ralph enjoyed gardening as well as keeping in contact with relatives and past acquaintances in the agricultural industry. Though he was physically unable to do so, his mental desire to stay busy at farming was strong up into his final days. His interest in farm equipment, from horse drawn implements to modern machinery, was always a topic of conversation.

Ralph is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, 2 sons, 2 step-children, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. A public reception for Ralph will be held at the Unger Funeral Home in Silverton, Oregon on Friday, July 10 th between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. A public graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery at 119 th Avenue, SE, Salem, Oregon on Saturday, July 11, at 12 noon.
