Richard Alan Palmquist of Silverton Oregon peacefully passed away of natural causes on October 25, 2020. He was born on July 12, 1940 to Elmer and Dora Palmquist and was raised on a 40 acre farm in Silverton.

Richard was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Silverton. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in January 1966. He was a past trustee of the Silverton Elks Lodge, past member of the Oregon pitch pipers, and past member of the Astoria and Canby JC's. He sang in the church choir, he liked to work in his yard, plant a vegetable garden, and camp with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Karen, two children Donna (Darren) Kluth of Molalla Oregon, and Jeff (Pattie) Palmquist of Oregon City Oregon. He is also survived by his siblings, Don Palmquist of Wooster Ohio, Jim (Jenny) Palmquist of Salem Oregon, Anita (Rick) Crawford of Salem Oregon, Chuck (Sara) Palmquist of Salem Oregon, Linda (Byron) Marron of Jacksonville Oregon. Grandchildren Melissa (Korey) Brown of Silverton Oregon, Jeremy Kluth of Molalla Oregon, Amanda (Hector) Herrera of Molalla Oregon, Zach Palmquist of Oregon City Oregon, Bryce Palmquist of Oregon City Oregon, and great-grandchildren Austin Brown, Maddison Brown, Brandon Herrera and Sofia Herrera.
