Ron Annen was the second child born to parents Norbert and Phyllis Annen, July 5th in Silverton, Oregon. He was raised on his parent’s farm 1 mile south of Monitor where they raised many crops. He attended Monitor grade school and graduated from Silverton High. In school, he excelled in academics and sports. In 1989 he married Nancy Wilmes and welcomed her son Josh. In 1991, a son Jeff was born, and son Jeremy in 1994. They attended schools in St. Paul and played sports. Ron watched, filmed, and never missed a game for 13 years. His pride ran deep in the St. Paul community where he took great care of the football field and continued work with the St. Paul Rodeo, all while working for Marion Ag Service for 21 years. After his time with Marion Ag, he moved on to work for many surrounding family farms. He was involved in the St. Paul Rodeo, Sublimity Harvest Festival, Silverton Elks, Jaycees, and Molalla Buckeroo. Ron is survived and loved by siblings, Rob (Candy), Greg (Shelli), Nancy (Dennis), Carol (Bo), Chris (Mark), his children Josh (Katie), Jeff (Kayla), Jeremy (Bailey), Fiancée Gayla and grandchild Landree. He is preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Phyllis, niece Courtney, and grandsons Dawson and Grady. Rosary will be October 29th, at 10:30am with Memorial mass at 11am, both at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mount Angel. Interment at Calvary Cemetery will follow.
