Rudolph Franklin age 74 was born in Detroit, Michigan April 28th, 1949, to Griffin Holmes and Cozella Franklin. After a lengthy Battle with cancer, Rudolph departed this life on Wednesday June14th, 2023 at Salem Hospital.  He is survived by his (TWIN) sister Rudeine Flournoy. He was preceded in death by his oldest Brother John Franklin as well as both parents.

Rudolph attended public schools in Detroit, Michigan.  He graduated from Munford High School in Detroit, MI He received his associate degree at Highland Park community College and received his Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University in Allan Park, Michigan

Rudolph first discovered his passion for arts in high school where he was enrolled in the Drama club.

Rudolph later recognized his dream in the performing arts in 1986 after moving to the los Angles area where he became a full-fledged professional actor.  In his first TV commercial (AFTRA), Rudolph became a member of the screen actor's guild.  He performed in several movie films, later in life Rudolph worked in television Broadcasting at a television station in Grand Rapids, Michigan until his move to Oregon.

Rudolph never married and did not have any children but devoted himself to his passion and love for the arts. He loved tai-chi, yoga, poetry, music, and meditation.  After moving to Oregon, he joined several of these groups.  Rudolph's love for these activities and his community of friends caused him to develop a lasting relationship, it gave him the tireless willpower to attend and seldomly miss sessions even on his bad days.

Rudolph fought the battle with cancer for approximately 5 years. He was loved and respected by his community of peers and all who came in contact with him during his lengthy illness.

Rudolph you are loved and will be missed.  Left to mourn & cherish your memory is your twin sister Rudeine, your nephew Marcus Clark (Jennifer) your great niece Jalysa, great nephews, Isaiah and Emery. Aunt Von Elaine Douglas, and a host of friends and relatives.
