Obituary

Sandra A. Harrison 78, of Silverton, Oregon; formerly of Milwaukie, Oregon, died peacefully on February 12, 2021, at Legacy-Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Born October 24, 1942 in Colorado, she is preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Orr and Francis E.  Hutt, her Sister Patty Foster, and her husband and love of her life of 47 years, David George Harrison, of Silverton, Oregon.

Sandra, called Sandy, Mom, sister, grandma, Nana, aunt, and friend, was a homemaker, and stay at home Mom until going to work when her children were older.  She started as a bookkeeper for Willamette Electric before working for Milwaukie High School. Sandy worked as a Library Media Assistant for one year then became the Attendance Secretary until she retired in 2001.

Being a loving, supportive, and involved Mother and Grandmother was her greatest achievement, pleasure, and pride, and she was greatly loved by all.

Over her lifetime, Sandy enjoyed many hobbies: Camping, crafting, puzzles, gardening and canning, sewing/quilting, playing games - dominos and bunco. She led Camp Fire Girls, sang in several choirs, led youth group, Sunday school and other children's groups. She volunteered in her children's classrooms, was a room mother, and enjoyed helping with reading groups at Eugene Field School in Silverton. In recent years, she volunteered at Silverton Senior Center, prepared birthday cards for members of Silverton First Christian Church and quilted with, "the ladies".

She is survived by her daughters Kimberly Harrison-Hamilton, K'Lynn Winkle and son-in-law, Perry Winkle, Kriston Norris.

Her Son, Kurt Harrison, and daughter-in-law Nicole Harrison.

Grandchildren: Jerett Hamilton, Eric Hamilton, Stephanie Ramely, Cody Kishpaugh, Kayla Winkle, Nathan Winkle, Noah Norris, Sara Norris, Sophia Harrison, Stella Harrison.

Also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren, and her

siblings, Richard Swanson-Orr and sister-in-law, Tamara Swanson-Orr, Rodney Orr and sister-in-law Shandra Greig, Randy Orr and sister-in-law Michelle Orr, as well as 12 nieces and nephews.

Sandy's celebration of life service will be limited in person and will be held at Silverton First Christian Church on February 27th at 1:00.  Services will also be livestreamed on Silverton First Christian Church's Facebook page.
