Scott Joseph Brand, 59, of Silverton OR passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2025 at 12:38 pm in Mount Angel OR. Scott was born September 22, 1965 in Malone, New York to parents Harold J. Brand and Leona Hughes-Dashnaw who preceded him in death. Scott was the 8th of 10 children.

Scott left behind his loving companion Toni Powell, sons Dakota 22, and Sequoia 21, siblings John, Debbie, Craig, David, Marilyn, Darrell, Walter, Barry and Kelli and many extended family members.

After graduating from High School, Scott served in the US Navy. Scott was especially close to his sister Marilyn and his brother-in-law Casey. He moved to Oregon to join them where he had a career in construction work. Scott could build anything and was always willing to help when something was needed, even by people who were strangers at the time. Scott touched the lives of so many and had a way of making even the toughest times bearable with his cheerful spirit and loving heart. Scott was loved by so many people in all walks of life and everyone will miss hearing his booming voice saying, "I'm Scott and you're not!"

There will be a celebration of life announced as soon as arrangements for family members all across the states and Canada are made.
