Gregg was born in Brooklyn , NY to Budd and Verryl Sheesley on May 7, 1948 , and passed away in Silverton , OR on September 7, 2019 . After High School Gregg, obtained his Art Degree from the College of Art in Berkeley , California . Eventually, Gregg made his way to Silverton, where he lived in the same house over 40 years.

Among his many accomplishments, Gregg was a father, son, friend and artist. He also participated in many community events, including the Silverton Shindig and Homer Davenport Days. Gregg was an EMT and volunteer firefighter with Silverton for 25 years. Infact, Gregg was so involved in the community, many of his friends referred to him as the "Honorary Mayor."

Gregg is survived by his son, Tyrone and sister Jaime.

A celebration of life will be held 2pm Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Oak Street Church , 302 Oak St . Please come and celebrate Gregg's life – Bring your memories laughter and love. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Oak St, Church in Silverton.
