Thomas William Radcliffe was born November 1, 1933, in Morehead, Minnesota, to Ima and Jay Radcliffe and died November 19, 2018. He grew up with his older brother, Jim, in Fargo, North Dakota. He attended North Dakota State University and graduated with a degree in history. After marrying Clara Schleef, Tom moved to Buffalo, New York, and earned a master's degree and teacher's certificate from University of New York Buffalo. He and Clara moved to Port Orford, Oregon, and Tom taught for 31 years at Pacific High School. They had three children.

In 1991, Tom retired from teaching, moved to Milwaukie, Oregon, married Lynne Leikem and helped raise her four children.

He is survived by his wife, Lynne Radcliffe; his children Eli, Jessica (Tony), Nathan (Melissa); and by his step children Brad (Anne), David (Angela), Karen (Lance), and Kate. He is also survived by his grandchildren Hannah, Delaney, Blake, Matthew, Mason, Mia, Josie, Bode, Millie, Tristan, Sidda, Lana, and Eva Rose.
