Mt. Angel – Kathy Marie Schwartz passed away tragically on Friday, August 8th, 2014. Kathy was born in San Diego to Richard and Betty (Carty) Hudnall, one of five children. She pursued an education and while excelling in her career as an executive administrator for Telecommunications Company, where she met and fell in love with Jerome "Jerry" Schwartz. They married in 1987 and united their families, raising their 4 children together in California. Then traveling through Oregon, they discovered Mt. Angel and fell in love with the community so much they chose to make it their permanent home in 2001.

Kathy was passionate, wise and quick-witted. Friends and family came to her for clarity and positive, honest guidance. She lived in humility and service of others. As a wonderful storyteller, avid reader, quilter, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kathy enjoyed all her blessings.

She is preceded in death by her mother, husband, Jerry (2008) and grandson, Brenton.

Kathy is survived by, her daughters: Nicol Hudnall and Elizabeth "Liz" Schwartz; stepdaughters: Jeannine Threw and Kathleen Schwartz; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandaughters; brothers: Chris, Patrick and Timothy Hudnall; sister, Frances Prokop; and father, Richard.

Rosary will be at 7pm on Weds., 8/13/14, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with mass at 11am Thurs., 8/14, also at the church. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel.
